Job description
The UAE National Human Resources Executive at Ounass is responsible for supporting the People team in delivering strategic and operational HR services across the business. The role focuses on driving Emiratisation initiatives, end-to-end recruitment coordination, HR operations, employee relations, HR policy administration, and compliance with UAE labour law and local regulatory requirements. The position involves managing recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer administration while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The role also drives Emiratisation programmes by liaising with government bodies and educational partners, tracking national hire targets, and building talent pipelines. Responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for employee relations queries, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining HRIS and employee records, supporting payroll and benefits administration, coordinating learning and development logistics, assisting in HR policy implementation and communication, and preparing HR metrics and reports for management. The Executive collaborates with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, and Legal on HR projects and ad hoc requests, fostering an inclusive and compliant workplace culture while supporting organisational growth and employee development.

- Support end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer administration, ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with internal policies.
- Drive Emiratisation programmes by identifying talent pipelines, liaising with government bodies and education partners, tracking national hire targets, and contributing to strategic initiatives that increase national workforce representation.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations enquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, resolving routine issues, escalating complex matters to senior HR partners, and maintaining employee satisfaction.
- Manage HR onboarding and offboarding processes including documentation, inductions, probation tracking, and exit formalities to ensure accurate records and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain HRIS and employee records with high accuracy, run standard reports, and support workforce planning, management reporting, and ad hoc data requests from leadership.
- Support payroll and benefits administration by coordinating with external providers, validating inputs, resolving routine payroll queries, and ensuring timely processing of HR-related transactions.
- Coordinate learning and development logistics including planning training sessions, managing enrollments, collecting post-training feedback, and supporting employee skill development initiatives.
- Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and employee engagement activities to promote an inclusive, compliant, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Legal teams on cross-functional HR projects, ad hoc requests, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and organisational performance.
Experience & skills
- UAE national (Emirati) eligible to work in the UAE with legal authorization for employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in HR operations.
- 1–3 years’ experience in HR generalist, HR operations, or recruitment coordination, ideally within a fast-paced corporate or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of UAE labour law, Emiratisation policies, and local HR compliance requirements.
- Experience in HRIS management, maintaining employee records, running HR reports, and supporting workforce planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace for HR reporting, trackers, and process administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with professional handling of confidential matters and employee relations issues.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy in HR operations.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-focused with a customer-centric mindset, fluent in English, with Arabic language skills considered an advantage.
