Job description
The Relationship Manager – Commercial Real Estate at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Dubai is responsible for managing and growing a designated portfolio of commercial real estate clients while maintaining risk within acceptable parameters. The role involves proactive management of customer inquiries, credit analysis, financial modelling, appraisal interpretation, and compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The incumbent will manage cross-selling of banking products including GFM and GTB, ensure portfolio performance and NPL targets are met, and contribute to audit readiness. The position requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and client service skills, combined with knowledge of operational processes, KYC documentation, and credit risk management. The role empowers the incumbent to make authorized decisions within the Bank’s policies and procedures while collaborating with the Real Estate department and other internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow the assigned commercial real estate portfolio through proactive client engagement and performance monitoring.
- Ensure NPL is maintained below 4% and perform timely credit reviews and renewals for assigned accounts.
- Deliver superior client service by resolving problems and facilitating other banking services for customers.
- Cross-sell GFM, GTB, and other relevant products to enhance customer value and revenue generation.
- Adhere to internal policies and procedures including call reports, KYC, operational processes, and documentation standards.
- Enhance credit analysis skills and interpret financial statements, feasibility reports, and appraisal data.
- Work independently to make authorized decisions within the approved authorization matrix and manage exceptions.
- Support audit readiness by ensuring portfolio compliance and achieving satisfactory audit outcomes.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Proficient in English and Arabic, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of financial modelling, appraisals, and regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated credit analysis and risk management capabilities for commercial real estate portfolios.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in client relationship management and cross-selling financial products.
- Ability to make informed decisions within the Bank’s policies and authorization framework.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and team management skills.
