Job description
Standard Chartered Bank is seeking a Manager for Capital Markets Products & Solutions (CMPS) and Wealth Lending (WL) in the EMEA region. Based in Dubai, this role will act as a key business partner across Wealth Solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, operational efficiency, strong governance, and effective risk management. The Manager will oversee day-to-day product controls, support transformation initiatives, handle complaints, and manage risks tied to product launches, while driving strategic alignment and collaboration across regional and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure Capital Markets Products & Solutions (CMPS) processes and products comply with both Group and Country regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee day-to-day product controls, sales compliance monitoring, and resolution of process gaps or emerging risks.
- Support implementation of business strategy, transformation initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Maintain governance of Capital Markets Products & Solutions (CMPS) activities across EMEA, including support for regional business management.
- Collaborate with Wealth Management COO and CMPS Product Teams on system development and deployment.
- Lead business risk initiatives including regulatory adoption, control improvements, and embedding risk frameworks.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks linked to new product launches or enhancements.
- Embed new ways of working across order execution and related processes.
- Handle product-related complaints within Wealth Solutions.
- Manage the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across CMPS units.
- Monitor, escalate, and follow through on operational risks, losses, policy deviations, and audit issues.
- Ensure timely reporting in systems such as M7 and maintain audit readiness.
- Engage with regulators, auditors, and stakeholders to strengthen risk governance.
- Assess and enhance CMPS governance arrangements and oversight mechanisms.
- Actively address compliance, conduct, and risk matters to deliver fair outcomes for clients.
- Serve as liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of CMPS activities.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in Wealth Solutions, Treasury, or Capital Market products.
- Proven expertise in financial market operations and dealing room environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Wealth/Capital Market products, governance standards, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong skills in change management, problem solving, influencing, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with systems such as Razor, Bloomberg, and related market tools is highly advantageous.
