Job description
TikTok is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support the EMEA team (with primary focus on the United Arab Emirates) in a full-time role based in Dubai. The HR Operations team builds efficient and simple people processes, systems, policies, and programs across the employee lifecycle, aiming to deliver a seamless, positive employee experience. The Payroll Analyst will manage and improve payroll operations across multiple EMEA countriesâprimarily the UAEâeffectively manage payroll vendors in strict adherence to contracts and SLAs, develop relationships with local authorities (Social Security, Tax, etc.), and partner with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to optimize processes, improve operational efficiency, and elevate employee experience. The role requires hands-on in-house payroll expertise, proven experience with EMEA payroll and tax legislation (specifically UAE payroll), strong Excel capability (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis), and the ability to influence stakeholders, manage vendors and projects, and support continued growth and expansion with multiple domestic and international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and improve payroll operations across multiple countries in EMEA, with primary focus on the United Arab Emirates
- Effectively manage payroll vendors by enforcing contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, including Social Security and Tax offices
- Partner with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to optimize processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance employee experience
- Collaborate with multiple domestic and international stakeholders to support organizational growth and expansion
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on in-house payroll operation experience
- Proven experience with EMEA payroll and tax legislation, specifically UAE payroll
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Strong influence and stakeholder management skills (preferred)
- Strong vendor management and project management skills (preferred)
- Payroll experience in other EMEA countries is a plus
