Job description
Reporting to the Manager of EMEA Project Engineering, this position leads the technical side of gas turbine (GT) projects for GE Vernova, with Dubai among its listed locations. Customers and their EPC representatives deal with you as their single technical point of contact, and supplied design documentation and equipment must comply fully with the contract. Kick-off and Design Liaison Meetings with customers are run here, and contract requirements are passed to every design function through internal documentation systems. Scope changes requested by customers are assessed for cost and schedule through Cost & Cycle Estimates (CCEs). Engineering schedules and budgets are monitored closely, with quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) provided to Finance. Technical support flows to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers and installation teams, and lessons learned are fed back into design. Upper management sees regular project reviews from you, covering risks and action plans. Newer Project Engineers and interns look to you for coaching, and process improvement efforts often fall to you as well. An engineering degree and significant experience in design, field engineering or project management are required, with PLM experience desirable and travel under 10%.
