Job description
Cost reduction, efficiency and consistent safety and quality standards are the targets that define warehouse operations excellence at ADNOC HQ. Sitting in Abu Dhabi and aligned with the SVP Group Commercial Operations & Execution, this position looks at how the warehouses actually run and finds ways to make them run better. Process analysis comes first, using performance metrics to pinpoint weaknesses in inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping and receiving. Improvements then become action plans, new tools and techniques, and updated procedures that supervisors and staff are trained on. Transportation and logistics teams are close partners, since warehouse changes affect their work directly. Budget ownership brings a focus on cost reduction strategies and on investigating significant variances. Vendors and suppliers are held to service standards, with contracts negotiated where required, and government officials are occasionally consulted on regulations. Compliance with HSE requirements and ADNOC Codes of Practice is reviewed regularly, with corrective actions recommended wherever gaps appear. Ten years in warehouse operations, including at least 8 in leadership, is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
