Job description
The Social Media & Content Development Manager – Marketing is responsible for leading the creation, execution, and continuous refinement of the social media and content strategy for Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab and its associated brands within a global luxury hospitality environment. The role encompasses capturing and editing photo and video content using professional equipment, coordinating external content creators, and managing end-to-end photo and video shoots from pre-production through post-production in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The position owns the social media and content strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand vision while driving long-term growth, innovation, and community engagement. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring the social media and content team, overseeing content quality and timely delivery, approving final creative assets with the Director of Marketing, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms. The role also manages and updates content across OTAs, booking platforms, and digital channels to optimize guest engagement, conversions, and reflect seasonal offerings. The position requires advanced use of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, social media platforms, social listening tools, and social media analytics to measure performance, optimize campaigns, and stay current with platform trends, all within the context of Jumeirah’s luxury hospitality portfolio and the destination-driven offering of Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab.

Key responsibilities
- Create, capture, and edit photo and video content for Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab and its brands
- Coordinate and manage external content creators including photographers and videographers
- Develop, own, and continuously refine the social media and content strategy aligned with business goals and brand vision
- Lead, mentor, and manage the social media and content team including task delegation to assistant managers and junior staff
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all photo and video shoots from pre-production to post-production
- Approve final photo and video deliverables in collaboration with the Director of Marketing
- Manage and update content across OTAs, booking platforms, and digital channels ensuring accuracy, consistency, and freshness
- Identify and collaborate with creative partners to develop storyboards and content plans
- Ensure multi-channel content distribution that enhances brand identity and guest engagement
- Monitor and optimize social media performance using analytics and platform insights
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate ability to shoot and edit photo and video content using professional equipment
- Apply excellent knowledge of video, photo, and audio software within Adobe Creative Cloud
- Use Microsoft Office, social media platforms, social listening tools, and analytics tools at an advanced level
- Possess over 5 years of experience managing multi-channel social media campaigns for luxury brands
- Demonstrate experience developing innovative content strategies that grow communities and drive engagement
