Job description
Petrochemical and LNG projects are the focus of this Senior Static Equipment Engineer role with KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions, based in Abu Dhabi on a PMC project. Working on the client side of delivery, you review static equipment engineering produced by contractors across FEED and detail engineering phases. Typical scope covers equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers and storage tanks, from datasheets and specifications through to vendor documentation. Technical queries, deviations and design reviews come across your desk regularly, and the work calls for close coordination with process, piping and other engineering disciplines. International travel outside the UAE is part of the role. At least 15 years in oil and gas projects is required, including 5 or more on petrochemical and LNG projects. A bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory, and previous ADNOC or PMC project experience is an advantage.

Key responsibilities
- Review contractor static equipment deliverables during FEED and detail engineering
- Verify equipment datasheets, specifications and design calculations against project requirements
- Evaluate technical bids and vendor documentation for static equipment
- Resolve technical queries and deviations raised by contractors and vendors
- Coordinate with process, piping and other disciplines on equipment interfaces
- Participate in design reviews for petrochemical and LNG facilities
- Support inspection and testing of static equipment, including at international vendor locations
- Represent the PMC team on static equipment matters with the client and contractors
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering (mandatory)
- Bring at least 15 years of overall experience in oil and gas projects
- Offer at least 5 years of experience on petrochemical and LNG projects
- Demonstrate experience on FEED and detail engineering projects
- Apply sound knowledge of design codes and standards for static equipment
- Have ADNOC project experience (advantage)
- Show previous experience on PMC projects (advantage)
- Travel to international locations outside the UAE as required
