Job description
Teneo is a global advisory firm providing integrated strategic communications counsel to business leaders, government leaders, and CEOs across a wide range of sectors including energy, technology, FMCG, financial services, and government. The Financial Communications Senior Associate role sits within Teneo’s Strategy and Communications team in the Middle East and focuses primarily on advising publicly listed corporate clients on financial communications and investor relations. The role supports clients in creating effective narratives, managing reputation, engaging key audiences, and delivering proactive storytelling aligned with strategic objectives. The position involves advising on financial communications, investor relations planning and implementation, horizon scanning, market and capital markets monitoring, media and social media analysis, and the creation of client-ready materials such as presentations, reports, earnings releases, and Q&A documents. The role also contributes to broader advisory disciplines including M&A communications, digital communications, creative campaigning, corporate communications, change and employee engagement, leadership coaching, sustainability, strategy and research, issues and crisis management, restructuring, and management consultancy. The Senior Associate works across multiple account teams, mentors Executives and Associates, collaborates closely with Vice Presidents, and reports into Senior Vice Presidents and Managing Directors, while supporting business development and proposal development activities across the Middle East region.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and provide advisory services by leveraging regional market intelligence, business intelligence, and capital markets insights to inform clients of key trends
- Monitor and report on business and capital markets issues, media coverage, news cycles, social media activity, and client communications campaigns, and contribute to client advisory notes
- Support financial communications and investor relations planning and implementation through research, ideation, strategic messaging, content creation, copywriting, and development of financial communications and IR strategy
- Develop client-ready deliverables including presentations, reports, earnings releases, Q&A documents, and other financial communications materials
- Support account management activities by monitoring progress, flagging risks or issues, mentoring Executives and Associates, supporting PMO activities, and owning specific deliverables end-to-end
- Build and manage client relationships by proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and areas of concern while supporting reputational and strategic objectives
- Support new business development through research, insight generation, and contribution to proposal development and pitch processes
- Build strong internal and external networks, actively seek learning and development opportunities, and coach and mentor junior team members
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, political science, finance, economics, law, public policy, international relations, business, accounting, or a related field
- Demonstrate 3–5 years of experience in strategy, communications, or finance and investor relations roles within an agency or in-house environment
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Arabic with verbal and written fluency and strong command of English
- Apply strong understanding of the Middle East region’s media, business, and capital markets landscapes
- Demonstrate experience in financial communications, investor relations, capital markets issues, and corporate reputation management
- Use Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Word at an advanced level, with demonstrated data visualisation, presentation, and project management capabilities
- Demonstrate experience working with international media, drafting strategic messaging, and advising clients based on in-depth understanding of business objectives and industry dynamics
