Job description
The ERP Administrator for Construction is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and optimization of the company’s ERP system within a construction environment. This role requires hands-on experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of core construction business processes such as project tracking, job costing, resource allocation, project management, estimation, accounting, and supply chain logistics. The position ensures the ERP system aligns with business needs, maintains data integrity, and drives operational efficiency across all construction projects. Responsibilities include system management and maintenance through updates, patches, and security configurations; user access, role, and permission management; system performance monitoring; troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues; providing first- and second-line ERP support; developing and delivering user training and documentation; collaborating with stakeholders across project management, finance, and procurement; customizing and configuring ERP modules from project bidding through accounting; supporting new module implementations and system enhancements; overseeing data control through reports and audits; maintaining dashboards and reports to provide insights on project status, finances, and resource usage; ensuring accuracy of data related to projects, materials, equipment, and workforce; and acting as the primary liaison with the ERP software vendor to manage support tickets, system changes, and upgrades. In-depth knowledge of construction-centric ERP systems such as Xpedeon, proficiency in SQL and database management tools, and familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau are key aspects of the role.

Key responsibilities
- Perform regular ERP system maintenance including updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure optimal performance
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the ERP system to maintain data security and control
- Monitor ERP system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and user access issues in a timely manner
- Provide first-line and second-line ERP support to end users for technical and functional issues
- Develop and deliver ERP training sessions and user documentation to ensure effective system adoption
- Act as the primary internal point of contact for all ERP system-related matters
- Collaborate with project management, finance, and procurement stakeholders to translate business needs into ERP solutions
- Customize and configure ERP modules to optimize and standardize construction business processes from project bidding to accounting
- Support implementation and integration of new ERP modules and system enhancements
- Oversee data control and integrity by creating, running, and reviewing regular reports and audits
- Create, modify, and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights on project status, financials, and resource utilization
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of ERP data related to projects, materials, equipment, and workforce
- Serve as the main point of contact with the ERP software vendor and manage support tickets, upgrades, and system changes
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience
- Have proven experience as an ERP Administrator with a minimum of 2–5 years in a construction environment
- Demonstrate strong understanding of construction-specific business processes including project management, estimation, accounting, and supply chain logistics
- Possess in-depth knowledge of construction-centric ERP systems such as Xpedeon
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL or other database management tools
- Have finance knowledge as a preferred qualification
- Possess project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively
- Hold relevant ERP or project management certifications such as PMP, preferred
- Demonstrate experience with ERP system integration and data migration
- Be familiar with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
