Job description
The Universal Banker role supports MashreqBank’s RBU – Muraqabat branch by managing financial transactions through Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) within an Express Branch environment. The position is responsible for risk-free handling of cash operations, maintaining service standards, and delivering sales, service, and transaction support to both existing and new-to-bank customers. The role requires thorough knowledge of retail banking products, processes, services, and policies, with responsibility for customer acquisition through walk-in sales, tracking conversion metrics, minimizing customer attrition, and reducing liability and service application rejections. The Universal Banker must educate customers on alternative banking channels and digital technologies, take ownership of complaints through resolution, and ensure achievement of KPIs across personal banking products and cross-segment offerings. This position requires strong tech literacy, familiarity with UAE banking practices, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced express branch model.

Key responsibilities
- Manage cash transactions using TCRs within the express branch model
- Deliver customer interactions aligned with expected service standards
- Minimize customer attrition and reduce liability and service application rejections
- Acquire customers through walk-in sales and track activity metrics from contacts to appointments and sales
- Take ownership of customer complaints and resolve them end-to-end
- Introduce and educate customers on digital channels and alternative banking technologies

Experience & skills
- Thorough knowledge of retail banking products, processes, services, and policies
- University graduate with 2–3 years of branch banking experience
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years of UAE banking experience
- Age between 23–30 years
- Strong computer literacy and tech-savvy skill set
- Ability to support sales, service, and transaction activities in an express branch model
- Ability to manage customer expectations and handle escalations
