The Senior Credit Product Specialist operates within the Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) Business of S&P Global Market Intelligence, playing a critical role in supporting the EMEA Credit Product Specialist Team and advancing credit product capabilities across the Middle East & African markets. The role focuses on delivering subject matter expertise across a comprehensive suite of credit solutions, including quantitative credit risk models, expert-judgment based credit assessment scorecards, AI-driven credit assessment automation solutions, and research and ratings from S&P Global Ratings. The position supports Sales Specialists throughout the entire sales cycle by providing deep technical and functional knowledge of credit products, enabling effective positioning, utilization, and client adoption. The specialist contributes to the development and implementation of credit workflow solutions that address complex credit risk management challenges for rated and unrated borrowers, counterparties, customers, and suppliers. Responsibilities include aligning activities with commercial and product strategies, executing pre-sales and post-sales implementation plans, and maintaining strong engagement with strategic credit customers. The role requires expertise in credit risk modeling techniques, credit risk management, and complex client credit risk workflows across multiple financial segments including Corporates, Commercial and Investment Banking, Insurance, and Investment Management. The specialist is also responsible for leading Proof of Concept initiatives, supporting RFP processes, managing test cases for regulatory requirements such as IFRS9, and contributing to thought leadership through blogs, white papers, conferences, and webinars. The position involves collaboration with Product Management, Education, Legal, and Marketing teams, delivering credit product training, and supporting revenue growth and client retention through targeted campaigns. The role demands multilingual proficiency in English and Arabic, strong experience in financial datasets and credit workflows, and may benefit from certifications such as CFA or FRM, or advanced academic qualifications such as a PhD.

Key responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in credit solutions including quantitative credit risk models, credit assessment scorecards, AI-driven credit assessment automation solutions, and S&P Global Ratings throughout all stages of the sales cycle
- Support clients with complex requests and deliver comprehensive credit product training and solution demonstrations
- Build and maintain relationships with Sales Specialists and Product Managers to diagnose, design, and implement credit workflow solutions for Middle East & African markets
- Align activities with commercial and product strategies and execute high-level pre-sales and post-sales implementation plans for credit offerings
- Serve as a credit product expert collaborating across Product Management, Education, Legal, and Marketing teams
- Demonstrate proficiency in S&P GMI credit capabilities and ensure effective utilization of credit product suite
- Develop and execute campaigns and initiatives to drive revenue growth and support client retention for credit products
- Maintain strong engagement with strategic credit customers and stakeholders in the market
- Collaborate internally to design and deliver credit product training programs and enablement initiatives
- Contribute to thought leadership by authoring blogs, white papers, and representing the organization at conferences and webinars
- Lead Proof of Concept initiatives, support RFP processes, and manage test cases aligned with regulatory requirements such as IFRS9
Experience & skills
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Possess 7+ years of relevant industry experience in credit and risk management, professional services, or solution providers
- Demonstrate strong expertise in credit risk modeling techniques and credit risk management practices
- Exhibit in-depth understanding of complex client credit risk workflows across Corporates, Commercial and Investment Banking, Insurance, and Investment Management sectors
- Demonstrate business fluent multilingual proficiency in English and Arabic
- Show ability to support cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Education, Legal, and Marketing teams
- Possess experience interacting with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders across the organization
- Demonstrate capability to manage Proof of Concept initiatives, RFP processes, and regulatory test cases such as IFRS9
- Hold professional certifications such as CFA or FRM Charterholder as a plus
- Possess advanced academic qualifications such as a PhD as a plus and additional credit risk modelling experience as an advantage
