The Senior Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales CDN, Security & Networking) role at Cloudflare is a customer-facing technical position within the Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization responsible for technical sales of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and adoption roadmap for enterprise customers across Egypt, Kuwait, and Bahrain while being based in Dubai in a hybrid work model. Cloudflare operates one of the world’s largest global networks powering millions of websites and Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies, protecting and accelerating Internet applications without hardware installation, software deployment, or code changes. The role involves partnering with sales teams to understand customer requirements, identifying and mapping customer initiatives and business problems to Cloudflare solutions, and preparing and delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept trials. The Senior Solutions Engineer is expected to build relationships and technical champions within customer organizations, develop presentations at enterprise organizational levels, and demonstrate expertise through professional content creation including white papers, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The role requires representing Cloudflare externally at developer, community, technology, cybersecurity, and industry-focused events while providing thought leadership and advising customers on best practices using domain expertise. The position requires strong understanding of customer network and application architectures, hybrid architectures with Azure, AWS, and GCP, SaaS application environments, VPN and remote access challenges, SIEM and log analytics platforms, routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, local internet breakout, and end-user application security risks including DDoS, malware, phishing, and viruses. The role also requires understanding CDN providers, competitive internet security technologies, client OS fundamentals, and software distribution, while supporting enterprise-level engagements and collaborating across multiple concurrent projects. The position requires fluency in English and Arabic and includes up to 50% travel to attend meetings, conferences, and industry events. Cloudflare’s mission focuses on building a better Internet through initiatives such as Project Galileo, Athenian Project, and 1.1.1.1 public DNS resolver while delivering global performance, security, and reliability improvements for enterprise customers.
