Job description
The Captain – Global 7500 role at DC Aviation Al Futtaim requires full command authority over aircraft operations, ensuring safety, airworthiness, compliance with OM-A and OM-B, and adherence to all aviation regulations. The captain maintains responsibility from aircraft movement for takeoff through final shutdown, overseeing flight deck operations under the Multi Crew Concept, assigning PF and PNF duties, ensuring checklist compliance, and performing flight- and weather briefings including weather report evaluation. The captain must verify airworthiness, required instrumentation and equipment, maintenance requirements, mass and balance, and dangerous goods provisions, while ensuring all ship’s papers are onboard and current. The position requires authority to exclude persons or items from transport, responsibility for passenger comfort, punctuality, and economic considerations, as well as emergency authority to act as needed. The captain organizes crew duties, promotes DC Aviation's reputation, ensures proper communication among crew members, conducts cabin crew briefings, and contributes to expanding flight crew knowledge. The role requires a valid EASA or FAA ATPL, Current Global 7500 Type Rating, Class 1 Medical, English proficiency, and knowledge of assigned routes and airports.

Key responsibilities
- Bear final authority concerning control of the aircraft and maintain safety and order on board
- Exercise emergency authority to take any measures necessary under given circumstances
- Assume full responsibility for the safety of the aircraft, load, and persons on board when doors are closed
- Report crew violations of directives to the superior office after corrective comments
- Oversee operation and safety from initial aircraft movement to final shutdown
- Organize flight deck work in line with the Multi Crew Concept and assign PF and PNF duties
- Ensure all checklists are fully complied with
- Set operational priorities with safety as the primary consideration, followed by economy, passenger comfort, and punctuality
- Maintain required knowledge and qualifications for all assigned routes and airports
- Review and be familiar with all relevant documentation and operational information
- Conduct and ensure completion of flight- and weather briefings, reviewing weather reports and conditions
- Ensure compliance with maximum allowable flight and duty times
- Verify that required documentation (ship’s papers) is onboard and current
- Report operational findings and irregularities
- Ensure and sign off on airworthiness, instrumentation, equipment, maintenance requirements, mass and balance, and dangerous goods compliance
- Exercise the right to exclude persons or items from transport if required
- Fulfill all duties as set out in OM-A and OM-B
- Support the development of flight crew experience and knowledge
- Conduct cabin crew briefings and ensure proper communication across the crew
- Uphold DC Aviation Al Futtaim’s reputation through crew conduct, appearance, and passenger interactions
- Delegate tasks to cockpit or cabin crew members when feasible
Experience & skills
- Hold a valid EASA or FAA ATPL license
- Maintain a current Global 7500 type rating
- Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Possess English language proficiency
- Be qualified to serve as Captain or First Officer as specified
- Willingness to work under flexible duty rosters in a high-pressure aviation environment
