Job description
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supervising food preparation and presentation, maintaining high quality standards, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, managing restaurant operations, handling customer complaints, and monitoring F&B costs and inventory. The role includes overseeing staff performance, coordinating with the purchasing department, and contributing to the achievement of financial targets and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise the food preparation and presentation process, ensuring high quality items and conformity with the set standards and techniques.
- Check the quantity and quality of displayed items and take necessary actions as needed.
- Perform greeting, food ordering, and serving tasks during rush hours and when necessary.
- Ensure implementation of hygienic policies and health and safety regulations at all times in the restaurant.
- Handle customersā complaints appropriately while ensuring continuous client satisfaction.
- Monitor F&B costs daily and review the operationās budget with the Manager; take necessary measures to meet set targets.
- Manage restaurant operations such as participating in opening/closing, maintenance, managing shifts, and liaising with the purchasing department.
- Monitor performance of stewards and manage tips calculation and distribution.
- Control inventory, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices as required.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree or equivalent in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in F&B operations, including 1 - 2 years in a managerial role.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
