Job description
Senior Visual Communications & Business Analyst within Qatar Airways Product Development and Design (PDD) team responsible for transforming complex business data, product strategies, conceptual ideas, research insights, and business problems into clear, compelling visual narratives that support executive decision making across Product Development, Insights, Strategy, and cross functional teams. The role supports the creation of high impact presentations for executive meetings, strategic reviews, leadership updates, and product roadmap discussions while translating abstract concepts, customer insights, and product strategies into visually engaging slides, annotated visuals, mockups, diagrams, charts, iconography, dashboards, and data visualization outputs. The position involves working with raw content such as notes, sketches, market insights, research data, business cases, financial analyses, ROI models, benchmark results, customer data, and product data, converting them into visually structured content and executive level presentations using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization tools. The role partners with Strategy, Research & Insights, Business Analysis, product managers, designers, analysts, and operational teams to gather inputs, align messaging, and develop presentations that articulate project highlights, value propositions, implementation plans, and strategic proposals. Responsibilities include ensuring consistency in visual language, formatting, brand alignment, and applying strong design principles to establish visual hierarchy, produce custom iconography, develop visual frameworks, and maintain high visual polish for senior stakeholders. The position operates within Qatar Airways' aviation product innovation environment focused on inflight products, passenger comfort, and airline experience innovation, supporting operational excellence, visual communication standards, workflows, storytelling practices, and managing multiple presentation and design projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities
- Develop high-impact executive presentations, leadership updates, and strategic review decks by transforming complex business strategies, product data, research insights, and market trends into clear, compelling visual narratives that influence decision-making at senior levels.
- Create annotated visuals, custom iconography, charts, diagrams, and data dashboards that illustrate product strategies, design rationales, and business cases, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Research & Insights, Business Analysis, product managers, designers, analysts, and operational teams to gather raw content, identify key insights, structure complex data, and transform it into visually compelling stories for cross-functional communication.
- Support financial analyses, ROI models, and business case development by designing visuals that convey data-driven insights, highlight opportunities, and illustrate potential outcomes for executive stakeholders.
- Ensure visual communication standards, formatting consistency, and adherence to organizational branding across all presentation and design materials, while continuously improving design workflows and storytelling practices within the department.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks under tight deadlines, and deliver visually polished content that meets the expectations of senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Translate abstract concepts, customer insights, and product strategies into visually structured content such as mockups, visual frameworks, annotated diagrams, and storytelling decks that enhance strategic understanding and decision-making.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to improve visual communication, presentation techniques, and strategic storytelling practices, contributing to the department's operational excellence and innovation in aviation product design.
Experience & skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Design, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in presentation design, visual storytelling, business communications, or data-driven content design, demonstrating executive-level presentation expertise through a strong portfolio.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and other data visualization tools, with proven ability to design dashboards, charts, and visual frameworks for senior stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills to interpret business challenges, product data, customer insights, research findings, and market trends, and translate these into clear, actionable, and visually compelling presentations for executive decision-making.
- Show experience in creating annotated visuals, mockups, diagrams, and custom iconography to communicate complex concepts, design rationales, and business strategies to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Possess expertise in business analysis, financial modeling, ROI evaluation, and business case support, with the ability to visualize data and insights in a compelling, executive-friendly format.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple design and presentation projects simultaneously, work independently under tight deadlines, maintain high attention to detail, and ensure consistent application of visual and brand standards.
- Exhibit excellent proficiency in transforming raw content such as notes, sketches, and market research data into structured visual narratives, enabling effective communication and strategic alignment across product, research, and operational teams.
- Show capacity to provide recommendations for improving visual communication, storytelling workflows, and design processes, contributing to the overall operational excellence and innovative culture of the Product Development and Design team.
