Job description
The Sr. Account Manager – Smart Cities at Honeywell will be responsible for driving sales and business development initiatives related to smart city solutions, including IoT, connected infrastructure, and urban technology innovations. The role involves engaging with government entities, municipalities, and urban planners to provide technology-based solutions that improve urban living, increase efficiency, and promote sustainability. The position requires strong expertise in selling complex smart city projects and maintaining long-term client relationships in the Saudi market.

Key responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential clients, including government, public sector, municipalities, and urban development organizations
- Promote and sell smart city technologies including smart city platforms, IoT solutions, urban infrastructure software, smart grids, connected transportation, and sustainable city technologies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with city planners, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders
- Develop sales strategies tailored to specific client needs
- Understand client challenges and goals related to energy efficiency, sustainability, mobility, and smart infrastructure
- Provide expert advice and demonstrations of smart city solutions for urban challenges such as traffic management, public safety, energy optimization, and sustainability
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and sales pitches
- Establish strategic partnerships with key players in the smart city ecosystem
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
- Conduct research to identify new market opportunities and clients
- Provide feedback to product teams based on customer needs and market trends
- Lead negotiations with clients to close sales deals
- Prepare contracts, pricing models, and bid documents for smart city projects
- Achieve assigned sales targets
- Comply with Honeywell sales processes and policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience
- Strong experience and knowledge in Smart Cities Platforms and IoT Solutions
- Deep understanding of the software industry and projects
- Proven track record in selling complex and mega projects
- Experience in the Saudi market
- Proficiency in writing and presenting proposals
- Relevant experience in low current systems such as BMS, Access Control, Surveillance, Fire and Safety, and SCADA systems
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Fluency in Arabic including reading and writing
