Job description
The Process Engineering Specialist is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and optimizing workflows, systems, and procedures across administrative and operational processes to reduce manual work, enhance employee experience, ensure data integrity, and streamline operations. The role involves analyzing existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implementing improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and effectiveness across key business processes such as recruitment, onboarding, and payroll processes. The position requires creating and maintaining standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps while developing and enforcing data governance frameworks to ensure compliance and accuracy. The specialist measures process effectiveness using data analytics and generates reports to guide strategic decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. The role collaborates closely with Finance, HR, IT, and other business units to align technology and process improvements with organizational goals. Responsibilities include systematically mapping and evaluating workflows, recommending data-driven and automated solutions, improving operational efficiency, leveraging Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, working with IS/HRIS systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other HR and compensation management software, ensuring compliance with Saudi Labor Law, and applying process engineering, systems optimization, and business transformation methodologies to support organizational process improvements.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze existing workflows and administrative processes including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and operational procedures to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization while improving speed, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Design, implement, and optimize workflows, systems, and procedures to reduce manual work, enhance employee experience, improve data integrity, and streamline administrative and operational processes.
- Create, document, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, workflow documentation, and governance documentation to ensure process consistency and operational efficiency.
- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure compliance, data integrity, accuracy, and standardized data management practices across systems and business functions.
- Measure process effectiveness using data analytics, generate reports using Microsoft Excel, evaluate performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and other business units to align process improvements, technology enhancements, HRIS system optimization, and operational strategies with organizational goals.
- Systematically map, evaluate, and analyze workflows across departments while recommending data-driven, automated, and systems optimization solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Support business transformation initiatives, implement workflow automation solutions, maintain documentation standards, and ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law and organizational governance requirements.
Experience & skills
- Obtain Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field with knowledge of process engineering, workflow optimization, and operational process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrate 3–6+ years of experience in process engineering, business transformation, systems optimization, workflow analysis, and process improvement initiatives across business functions.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel including data analytics, reporting, process performance measurement, and decision-support analysis.
- Demonstrate experience working with IS/HRIS systems including SAP, Oracle, or other HR systems and compensation management software supporting HR and operational workflows.
- Demonstrate knowledge of process mapping, systems thinking, change management, and process optimization methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Saudi Labor Law and local market trends impacting HR processes, recruitment workflows, onboarding, and payroll operations.
- Demonstrate experience in data governance, data integrity management, process documentation, SOP creation, and workflow standardization across business units.
- Demonstrate Arabic native proficiency and excellent English language proficiency to support cross-functional collaboration, documentation, and reporting.
