Job description
Careem is building the Everything App for the greater Middle East, simplifying mobility, food and grocery orders, payments, and more. Since 2012, it has empowered over 2.5 million Captains and served 70 million customers across 70+ cities. The Product Analytics Manager will lead the Product Analytics team across multiple domains, leveraging data as a strategic advantage, coaching analysts, and collaborating with leadership to shape organizational strategy. The role will involve defining and maintaining metrics, building pipelines with data engineering, running experiments, creating dashboards, and ensuring data quality, while driving business impact and mentoring a global analytics team.

Key responsibilities
- Lead Product Analytics team across multiple domains within the EA ecosystem, collaborating globally with cross-functional teams.
- Develop strategy to leverage data analysis and visualization as a strategic competitive advantage.
- Coach analysts to become storytellers of data, delivering actionable narratives.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure analytics work impacts organizational strategy.
- Partner with senior business leaders to manage project intake, pipeline, prioritization, and staffing for key initiatives.
- Execute on product strategy, planning, and execution through actionable insights.
- Define, instrument, and maintain new and existing business critical metrics using SQL and beyond.
- Serve as a thought partner to data engineering, collaborating on ETLs, pipelines, and automations.
- Run experiments, build dashboards, and create data visualizations to communicate results to leadership.
- Mentor the analytics team on rigorous technical practices.
- Ensure data quality by monitoring performance, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions.
- Answer complex business questions via ad-hoc SQL queries for decision-making.
Experience & skills
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or Mathematics.
- 10+ years of professional experience in analytics roles, preferably in tech.
- 5+ years of experience managing analytical teams.
- Strong command of SQL, Python, and R, with experience working on large datasets.
- Experience building impactful dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong project management skills with ability to drive projects end-to-end.
- Experience collaborating with data engineering on ETL pipelines and automation.
- Proven ability to deliver high impact data insights through cross-functional projects.
- Experience in product development, shipping new products, and iterating over time.
- Strong track record in team building, attracting and retaining top talent.
- Ability to instill a culture of ownership, collaboration, and results.
- Excellent leadership, communication, critical thinking, and judgment skills.
