Job description
The Commercial Banking Associate at Citi in Dubai supports Senior Relationship Managers in servicing Mid-Market clients with international footprints by delivering comprehensive commercial banking solutions across Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, Working Capital, and Lending products. The role involves supporting client relationship management, onboarding new clients, managing assigned client portfolios, and deepening relationships with existing clients while assisting in new business acquisition. The position requires collaboration with internal operational teams, risk teams, and product specialists to deliver a client-first service model. Responsibilities include credit application write-up, financial spreading, deal structuring, returns calculation, documentation review and preparation, and administration of credit relationships in accordance with institutional policies. The role also supports product implementation, onboarding workflows, and management of Customer Relationship Management platforms. The associate assists with pitch book development, client presentations, and solution assessment while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The position plays a key role in monitoring risks, supporting deal execution, and delivering operational support for Mid-Market clients within Citi’s global commercial banking network.

- Support Senior Relationship Managers in managing assigned Mid-Market client portfolios and delivering commercial banking solutions across Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, Working Capital, and Lending products
- Build relationships with Citi internal network, operational teams, and stakeholders to manage client requests, escalations, and service delivery requirements
- Assist in onboarding new commercial banking clients and support implementation of banking products and services
- Prepare credit application write-ups, perform financial spreading, conduct deal structuring, calculate returns, and review documentation for credit proposals
- Monitor product implementation processes and manage onboarding workflows using Customer Relationship Management platforms
- Support client meetings by preparing pitch books, presentation materials, and due diligence documentation
- Analyze client relationships to identify business opportunities, risks, and portfolio growth strategies
- Ensure compliance with banking policies, regulatory requirements, and institutional risk management frameworks
Experience & skills
- 2–5 years of banking experience with exposure to Commercial Banking or Corporate Banking environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in banking, finance, business, or related discipline
- Experience in client-facing or relationship management roles within banking or financial services
- Knowledge of commercial banking products including Transactional Banking, FX, Trade Finance, Treasury, Working Capital, and Lending
- Experience in credit analysis, financial spreading, deal structuring, and credit application preparation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management systems
