Job description
The Assistant Manager ā ICAAP will play a key role in supporting the bankās capital adequacy planning, ensuring compliance with the Basel Capital Accords and CB-UAE regulations. This role involves the development, implementation, and enhancement of internal risk models and regulatory reporting structures for credit, market, and operational risks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping design stress testing methodologies, economic capital frameworks, and ICAAP documentation (Pillar II and III). You will also assist in the strategic planning of capital requirements, coordinate with examiners, and provide insights to senior management on regulatory capital issues.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in meeting CB-UAE Basel reporting requirements for Credit, Market, and Operational Risk
- Support the design and delivery of internal capital requirement reports for senior management
- Develop PD and LGD models to support advanced approaches under Basel frameworks
- Support the development and implementation of models for credit, market, and operational risk
- Assist in building models for economic capital calculations and stress testing scenarios
- Develop capital adequacy reports for stressed credit and economic conditions
- Support validation of group-level capital computations with Central Bank examiners
- Report capital requirement outcomes for stressed ALM scenarios to the Head of ICAAP
- Assist in preparing ICAAP Pillar II and III reports in line with regulatory guidelines
- Contribute to strategic capital planning and future capital projections
- Assist in the development of macroeconomic stress testing frameworks and capital impact analysis
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Business, Statistics, or Economics (minimum)
- 4ā6 years of experience in Basel II capital computation across Pillars I and II
- Hands-on experience with CB-UAE regulatory requirements and Basel capital frameworks
- Proficiency in developing and validating risk models (PD, LGD, Economic Capital)
- Experience in stress testing, scenario analysis, and ICAAP reporting
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting, capital adequacy, and ALM scenarios
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and communicate technical findings to stakeholders
