Job description
Banking clients make up the core of this portfolio, so audit experience in that sector is a must for this Manager / Senior Manager position in PwC's Core Assurance team in Riyadh. Full-cycle ownership of each audit assignment comes with the job, from designing the audit strategy with the engagement leader to managing execution and completion. ISAs and IFRS standards relevant to financial services, such as IFRS9 and IFRS17, shape the technical side, along with financial services regulations. Day to day, you handle client liaison and technical issues, and complex technical challenges need practical strategies. Board of directors and audit committee presentations are part of managing senior client relationships. Business development matters too, through researching opportunities with new and existing clients. Team members reporting to you rely on coaching, mentoring and attention to their well-being, and interviewing candidates forms part of the hiring process. Audit transformation technologies, Data Analytics tools and alternative delivery models are encouraged across the team. Candidates bring 8 to 10 years of external financial audit experience in the big 4, a qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA or CPA, and ideally bilingual Arabic and English.
