Job description
The Senior Sales Manager at Cognizant will lead the expansion of IT and consulting services in the Saudi market with a focus on the Telco sector. The role requires daily interaction with clients and Cognizant senior leadership, reporting to the Client Partner and based in Riyadh. The manager will oversee client engagement and growth, new business development in greenfield accounts, proposal development for international RFPs and RFIs, and full-cycle opportunity management. Additional responsibilities include strategic go-to-market planning for banking and insurance segments, managing a $5M+ P&L, and collaborating closely with delivery, technical, and pre-sales teams. The role demands bilingual Arabic-English proficiency, high-level stakeholder communication, and team collaboration capabilities. A proactive mindset and a successful track record in client acquisition and revenue growth are critical.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with existing clients in Saudi Arabia
- Identify new opportunities and expand current engagements
- Penetrate new accounts and promote Cognizant’s IT services
- Lead creation of proposals and respond to RFPs and RFIs
- Drive end-to-end business development with internal delivery and pre-sales teams
- Develop tailored go-to-market strategies for banking and insurance sectors
- Manage P&L accounts exceeding $5 million
- Communicate and influence stakeholders up to C-suite level
Experience & skills
- 10+ years experience in IT professional services, specifically in the Telco sector
- Experience managing large P&L accounts
- Strong client-facing and internal communication skills
- Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English
- MS or MBA degree preferred
- Proven ability to develop business in Saudi Arabia
- Demonstrated strategic problem-solving and account management skills
