Job description
Compass International School Doha has offered a British education to expatriate and Qatari families since 2006, across campuses at Al Themaid and Madinat Khalifa. Secondary students choose from IGCSEs, AS and A levels, with the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13. Computer Science and ICT lessons follow a bespoke curriculum built on the English National Curriculum, preparing students for IGCSE examinations and beyond. Classes include students with varying levels of English, so language, literacy and communication fluency are developed alongside subject content. Each learner works toward individualised targets, which means planning pathways for a wide range of prior achievement. Outside lessons, there are visits and visitors to arrange, an after-school ECA programme to contribute to, and school events involving parents and the wider community. Sharing practice with colleagues and acting on feedback are both expected. Candidates need a degree in a relevant subject, a teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE/PDGE from a face-to-face course, UK or international teaching experience and native or near-native English, with a Master's desirable. The start date is January 2027.
