Job description
The Senior Specialist - ERP Process (SAP S/4HANA) is responsible for serving as the key link between business stakeholders and SAP technical teams to ensure optimized, standardized, and data-driven processes across the enterprise. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role focuses on designing, analyzing, and implementing SAP S/4HANA-enabled business processes across core domains, including Acquire to Retire (A2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Plan to Stock (P2S), Procure to Pay (P2P), Project to Profit (P2P²), and Record to Report (R2R). The position requires translating business needs into SAP best-practice processes, preparing Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), and supporting ERP migration, configuration, and user adoption. The Specialist collaborates closely with finance, supply chain, procurement, and project management teams to align processes with enterprise governance standards and clean-core SAP principles. The role involves hands-on participation in configuration, validation, and testing across SAP modules (FI/CO, MM/Ariba, SD, PP, WM), ensuring system integration, data consistency, and automation readiness. Additionally, the incumbent supports AI-driven workflows through tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, and SAP BTP, enabling predictive operations and improved business insights. Responsibilities also include data migration from legacy systems like Microsoft Dynamics and Coupa, functional documentation, UAT leadership, and end-user training. This position plays a vital part in driving continuous improvement, maintaining master data integrity, and supporting post-go-live stabilization across all SAP business process areas.

Key responsibilities
- Engage with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements across A2R, O2C, P2S, P2P, P2P², and R2R value streams.
- Review and assess current ('as-is') business processes to identify optimization and standardization opportunities.
- Design future-state ('to-be') processes aligned with SAP S/4HANA and Ariba best practices under enterprise governance frameworks.
- Translate business requirements into system specifications for SAP and integrated applications.
- Support configuration, testing, and validation of SAP processes across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales modules.
- Collaborate with technical teams to validate custom developments, reports, and system integrations.
- Facilitate integration between SAP and external systems, including tax engines, payroll, analytics, and HRMS.
- Identify automation and AI-readiness opportunities to optimize process performance using SAP BTP, Analytics Cloud, and Power BI.
- Participate in ERP data migration, ensuring data mapping, cleansing, and validation during rollout phases.
- Support migration from legacy systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Coupa to SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.
- Ensure financial and operational data accuracy post-migration and uphold master data governance.
- Prepare functional documentation, process maps, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live readiness, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
- Deliver end-user training to support adoption of new SAP tools and processes.
- Define and track KPIs to measure process efficiency, user adoption, and compliance.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5ā8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in SAP environments, preferably S/4HANA.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes including A2R, O2C, P2S, P2P, P2P², and R2R.
- Experience in ERP transformation or migration projects such as Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA or Coupa to Ariba.
- Proficiency in SAP FI/CO, MM/Ariba, SD, PP, and WM modules.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Fiori UI, and integration mechanisms (API, IDoc, OData).
- Knowledge of AI-driven automation, RPA, and predictive analytics in ERP systems.
- Experience integrating SAP with tax, HR, and reporting systems such as SuccessFactors and Concur.
- Strong analytical and process mapping skills with ability to create detailed functional documentation.
- Proactive problem solver with excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with focus on compliance, data accuracy, and process governance.
