The Business Development Manager - Aviation & Mobility/Transport role focuses on leading and driving growth within the aviation & mobility sector, especially in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The position entails building partnerships, delivering tailored solutions, and aligning offerings with strategic sector priorities.

Key responsibilities
- Generating new business and organic growth within the aviation & mobility capability within the region.
- Working with Business Units to lead shaping and designing new market facing value propositions.
- Support and guide appropriate solutions in the context of bidding with support provided by wider SMEs.
- Lead, identify, develop, win and close new business opportunities primarily in aviation & mobility sector in Saudi & the UAE.
- Lead and deliver against a GBP10m new business ACV target for 2025.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and international organisations.
- Lead market analysis and research to identify emerging trends and customer needs in the aviation & mobility services domain.
- Successfully navigate bids through Sercoās internal governance process; obtaining relevant approvals at each stage of the cycle.
- Lead and advocate for Serco at a senior level externally and internally.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events in KSA and the GCC region.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting value propositions.
- Maintain detailed records of business development activities and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and cultural considerations in KSA.
- Lead and motivate high performing bid teams, in accordance with Sercoās governing principles.
- Own the opportunity throughout the bid process and lead bid teams to a successful winning technical and commercial solution.
- Lead the strategic development of bids to ensure a persuasive, commercially competitive offering that fully reflects customer requirements.
Experience & skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (preferred).
- Knowledge of KSAās Vision 2030 and its impact on aviation & mobility services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or solutions management, preferably within the aviation &/or mobility services or public safety sectors.
- Ideally experienced in the Middle East market, particularly in KSA.
- Strong understanding of aviation/mobility services operations, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
