Job description
The Finance Clerk is responsible for supporting financial management by handling day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial record-keeping tasks. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, assisting with payroll, supporting tax preparation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role provides essential support to finance professionals in preparing financial statements and reports while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

Key responsibilities
- Accurately input financial data such as invoices, receipts, and payments into accounting software
- Maintain and update financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and process payments on time
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers and follow up on overdue payments
- Reconcile bank statements with financial records and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Support payroll processing including deductions, reimbursements, and expense claims
- Assist with tax preparation by organizing receipts, expense reports, and payroll records
- Support audits by providing required documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Help track and reconcile inventory with financial records
- Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters
- Provide general administrative support for financial operations including scheduling and preparing financial documentation
Experience & skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or bachelorās degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 3ā4 years of professional finance or accounting experience (minimum 2 years required)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of payroll software, reconciliation tools, and tax preparation systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to resolve discrepancies and support audits
- Clear and professional communication with vendors, clients, and team members
