Job description
The Senior Director, Sales & Distribution is a pivotal executive role responsible for orchestrating the overall sales strategy and distribution network for a leading telecom operator in Oman. The role focuses on driving subscriber growth, maximizing ARPU, enhancing market penetration, and optimizing a multi-channel distribution model including retail, digital, direct, and indirect sales. The director will develop aggressive sales strategies for all customer segments including consumer, enterprise, and SME. Key responsibilities include overseeing the launch and adoption of new telecom technologies such as 5G, FTTH, IoT, and ICT solutions; optimizing CRM, automation, and analytics tools to drive performance; managing large, high-performing sales teams; and ensuring exceptional customer experience and churn reduction. A strong focus on digital sales transformation, channel partner ecosystem development, and data-driven decision-making is essential to succeed in this leadership role.

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and distribution strategies across consumer, enterprise, and digital segments
- Drive aggressive growth in subscriber base and revenue across all telecom product lines
- Oversee retail, indirect, digital, and direct sales channels ensuring consistent branding and performance
- Lead the sales organization, mentoring teams and instilling a high-performance, customer-centric culture
- Implement advanced sales tools including CRM, automation platforms, and analytics dashboards
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to support product launches and service delivery
- Secure enterprise and government contracts for advanced telecom and ICT services
- Establish and manage partner programs and develop innovative distribution models
- Monitor and optimize sales funnel performance and conversion metrics
- Champion customer experience across all touchpoints and lead churn management strategies
Experience & skills
- Minimum 15 years of progressive telecom sales experience with at least 8-10 years in a senior executive role
- Extensive understanding of the Omani telecom market and regulatory environment
- Proven success in exceeding sales and subscriber growth targets in consumer and enterprise segments
- Experience launching and driving adoption of 5G, FTTH, IoT, and ICT services
- Strong background in sales operations, forecasting, and performance analytics
- Demonstrated success in leading digital sales transformation leveraging CRM, analytics, and AI/ML
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities across multiple geographies
- Financial acumen with experience managing large sales budgets and delivering ROI
