Job description
The Events Sales Executive is responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of event planning and sales functions for the hotel's banquet and catering services. The role involves managing client communications, preparing sales proposals, ensuring event requirements are met, maintaining records, coordinating with internal departments, and updating sales and event tracking tools. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and administrative support.

Key responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, direct to appropriate person, and take messages
- Assist with typing Banquet and Sales correspondence, including proposals, BEOs, and memos
- Respond promptly to all inquiries
- Study event requirements to identify upsell opportunities
- Send banquet event proposals and maintain timely communication with guests
- Call customers to remind them of cut-off dates
- Prepare administrative documents for the hotel sales team
- Act as liaison between hotel departments and event hosts
- Ensure Catering and Banquet requisitions are completed
- Respond to special function host requests
- Maintain sales correspondence database and client folders
- Coordinate with banquet operations to ensure client satisfaction
- Update Daily Sales Report (DSR) and revenue projection
- Manage the Catering and Banquets calendar in the sales software
- Assist the sales team with prospecting and sales blitzes
- Retrieve rooming lists, deposits, and banquet guarantees
- Maintain an up-to-date A/R Check Log
- Prepare sales kits for the team
- Coordinate all aspects of events including setup, menu, AV, and distribution of BEOs
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales or events role
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in event and sales software
- Fluency in English and local language preferred
- Diploma in a relevant field
