Job description
The Senior Manager – Banking & Insurance role at Sia in Abu Dhabi is focused on growing and delivering the firm’s Banking and Insurance consulting practice across the GCC. The role combines senior-level business development with hands-on leadership of complex, multi-workstream transformation programs that deliver measurable value across customer experience, operations, risk and compliance, and growth. The position requires leveraging a strong regional GCC network to originate opportunities, shape consulting solutions, lead pursuits from discovery through contracting, and manage executive-level client relationships. The role covers both Banking domains such as retail and commercial lending, payments modernization, core banking transformation, AML/KYC, financial crime, credit risk, finance and reporting, as well as Insurance domains including underwriting and pricing, claims transformation, policy administration and core system replacement, distribution and broker experience, finance and actuarial, and IFRS 17. The role operates within the GCC regulatory and market context, including SAMA, CBUAE, QCB, CBB, Saudi PDPL, UAE Data Protection Law, Bahrain PDPL, AML/CFT, FATF, Islamic banking, and Takaful. The Senior Manager oversees technology-enabled change initiatives involving core platforms, integrations, cloud and data platforms, CRM systems, automation, and AI, while managing engagement governance, commercials, margins, staffing, risk and issue management, steering committees, and executive reporting. The role also includes building alliances with technology partners, developing GCC-relevant thought leadership, representing the firm at industry events, and contributing to practice strategy, offerings, and team development within Sia’s Consulting 4.0 model integrating AI and design capabilities.

Key responsibilities
- Expand and manage senior relationships with banks and insurers across the GCC and originate qualified consulting opportunities
- Lead end-to-end business development pursuits including discovery, solution design, pricing, proposal development, orals, and contracting
- Build and manage alliances with technology partners and co-develop go-to-market offerings
- Create thought leadership and market-relevant assets aligned with GCC priorities such as open banking, instant payments, IFRS 17, and digital claims
- Represent the firm at industry events and maintain trusted C-level client relationships
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-workstream transformation programs ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and benefits realization
- Define target operating models, process improvements, digital customer journeys, data and analytics use cases, and change management strategies
- Oversee technology-enabled transformations involving core platforms, integrations, cloud, data, CRM, automation, and AI
- Manage engagement governance including commercials, margins, staffing, RAID, steering committees, and executive reporting
- Lead, mentor, and develop consulting teams while contributing to practice strategy, methods, and knowledge assets
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10+ years of consulting experience within Banking and/or Insurance combining business development and program delivery
- Established GCC network with senior client relationships and a proven track record of converting relationships into engagements
- Demonstrated success leading multi-workstream transformations with quantified business outcomes
- Strong command of GCC regulatory frameworks including SAMA, CBUAE, QCB, CBB, data privacy laws, and Islamic finance/Takaful
- Experience with major industry platforms such as Temenos Transact T24, Finacle, nCino, Mambu, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, and AWS/Azure/GCP
- Strong financial and analytical acumen including pricing, margin management, business case development, KPI design, and value tracking
- Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English and professional fluency in Arabic for workshops, facilitation, and client deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or professional certifications such as PMP, Agile, CFA, FRM, CAMS, or CISA preferred
