Job description
Learning at Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas needs to become a strategic business driver rather than a compliance exercise, and this Director of Learning & Development role exists to make that shift happen. You develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with business objectives, guest experience goals, and employer branding initiatives. Capability gaps and performance opportunities get identified using learning analytics, operational KPIs, engagement metrics, guest satisfaction scores, and brand standards. Culture sits close to the center of the role too, with engagement, inclusivity, belonging, recognition, and wellbeing all part of what gets designed and strengthened. Forbes Travel Guide excellence becomes a target the property works toward, supported by luxury service training programs, service observations, coaching sessions, guest journey reviews, and culture audits. Leadership development pathways get created for people at every level, covering succession planning, talent acceleration, mentoring, and coaching. Traditional classroom training gives way to micro-learning, gamification, interactive workshops, digital learning platforms, experiential learning, peer-to-peer learning, and AI-assisted learning solutions. Dashboards get built to measure learning effectiveness, training completion, internal promotion rates, retention, engagement, and Forbes performance trends, with actionable insights presented to the leadership team. Career development initiatives position the hotel as an employer of choice, supporting graduate programs, internships, management trainees, and high-potential development.
