Job description
The Director - Global Markets Sales at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) will be responsible for the origination and distribution of Global Markets solutions to corporate and government clients within the Investment Banking Group in the UAE. This role requires deep client understanding, strong relationship management, and the ability to deliver revenue targets while identifying cross-sell opportunities. The incumbent will manage key client relationships through consistent engagement, thought leadership, and a solution-driven approach, aiming to establish FAB as the leading provider of Global Markets products. Coverage includes Real Estate, Diversified Conglomerates, Traders & Retailers, Aviation, Rail & Transport, Energy & Natural Resources, Government, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Financial Sponsors in the UAE. The Director will cover multi-asset class products, including FX (and options), Money Markets, Credit (Repo, Bonds), Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodity Solutions, Equities, Equity Derivatives, and Islamic Products. The role also requires knowledge of risk valuations, XVA pricing, RAROC, compliance, and risk/legal frameworks. The candidate must have 10–15 years of financial markets experience, ideally in Corporate Sales within Global Markets, and must be fluent in Turkish. The role involves working in a high-pressure environment, collaborating with regional and global teams, using MIS and performance metrics to drive portfolio growth, and ensuring adherence to FAB’s compliance standards. Managerial duties may extend to supervising interns or graduate trainees.

- Achieve revenue and sales targets while ensuring cross-sell opportunities
- Develop and deepen client relationships through regular engagement and thought leadership
- Ensure optimization of customer flows and high-quality execution to grow the global markets franchise
- Maintain adherence to FAB’s regulatory, compliance, and best practice standards
- Collaborate with GM product teams, coverage teams, and enablement functions to deliver client solutions
- Escalate client, internal, or financial issues to line management in a timely manner
- Promote FAB’s strategic brand and foster a positive organizational culture
- Cover client segments including Real Estate, Diversified Conglomerates, Aviation, Energy, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Government
- Provide multi-asset class coverage across FX, Money Markets, Credit, Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, Equities, and Islamic Products
- Conduct in-depth discussions with Risk, Legal, and Compliance for solution delivery
- Supervise assigned interns or graduate trainees when required
- Leverage MIS and performance metrics to grow client portfolios
- Engage with regional and global teams to ensure coordinated delivery
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking, Financial Management, or equivalent professional certifications
- Have 10–15 years of proven experience in financial markets, ideally in Corporate Sales within Global Markets
- Possess strong knowledge of Global Markets products including FX, Money Market, Credit, Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, Equities, and Islamic Products
- Demonstrate knowledge of risk valuations, XVA pricing, and RAROC
- Show proven client service and business development experience
- Be proficient in using MIS systems and performance metrics to drive client portfolio growth
- Possess strong communication and analytical skills with experience working in high-pressure environments
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate with regional and global teams
- Be fluent in Turkish (mandatory)
