Job description
The Accountant - Reporting will implement financial systems and procedures, oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, manage month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with IFRS. The role also involves coordinating with auditors, maintaining accurate trial balances, and providing technical accounting advice to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare pre-closure meetings with finance teams and document minutes
- Provide financial and accounting advice to stakeholders
- Ensure IFRS-compliant accounting treatments; resolve deviations with management
- Release trial balances (TBs) within deadlines and respond to queries promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date balance sheet schedules
- Identify, discuss, and resolve technical issues affecting financial reporting
- Log and escalate IT issues affecting reporting
- Prepare and sign off monthly reporting checklists
- Ensure compliance with CSA requirements and adequate documentation
- Oversee recharges for WearThat business to MCT
- Finalize audits and sign-off by deadlines, avoiding uncorrected misstatements
- Prepare and coordinate external audit documentation
- Ensure timely preparation and signing of Allied consolidated and separate financial statements
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or ACCA (recently qualified preferred)
- Proven financial reporting experience
- Proficiency in English; Arabic preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
