Job description
The Manager, QHSE Assurance at Masdar is responsible for driving corporate-level assurance processes to ensure compliance with HSSE policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards. The role involves developing and implementing a risk-based assurance plan, conducting QHSE audits, leading incident investigations, managing contractor HSE processes, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The position requires strong technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and the ability to work across corporate functions, subsidiaries, and portfolio companies to enhance QHSE performance and embed a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities
- Support and implement corporate QHSE assurance plans and initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Facilitate change management programs to drive adoption of new QHSE processes, systems, and behaviours.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of assurance initiatives.
- Design, implement and maintain a corporate QHSE assurance system with processes for audits, inspections, and management reviews.
- Conduct QHSE audits and inspections in accordance with Masdar and industry standards.
- Develop QHSE assurance training programs and deliver effective training sessions.
- Liaise with Masdar Internal Audit to align assurance strategies and avoid overlaps.
- Design and maintain contractor HSE management processes, including KPIs, requirements, and onboarding procedures.
- Participate or lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Analyse safety performance and incident trends to enhance proactive assurance processes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to embed learnings into QHSE systems.
- Manage multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery within timelines and budgets.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Risk, QHSE, or related field.
- NEBOSH or similar certifications.
- ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 certified auditor.
- 6-8 years of experience in corporate QHSE, strategy development, or transformational change management.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Experience in large multi-national companies or equivalent environments.
- Strong business process management experience.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change within an organization.
- Experience in management consulting or corporate strategy preferred.
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken).
