Job description
Citi Commercial Bank serves mid-sized companies with international banking needs, and this Managing Director leads the business in the UAE from Dubai. Reporting to the Head of Europe, Middle East & Africa for Commercial Banking, with a matrix line to the UAE CCO, you own the business strategy and the client P&L. Growth targets are organic, built on market share in key segments and an expanding client base. The product range covers working capital, syndicated and bilateral loans, capital markets, treasury and liquidity management, foreign exchange, trade finance and interest rate derivatives. Pricing policies are set to earn adequate returns at client level, and revenues, expenses, allocations and returns on capital are tracked through a balanced scorecard. Credit portfolio quality is a core accountability, with origination in line with Target Market and close partnership with Risk; for some large clients you act as Senior Sponsoring Officer. Markets, Treasury and Trade Solutions, Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Corporate Banking all work with you to deliver full solutions. A team reports to you, and KYC, compliance, legal and regulatory controls must stay sound throughout. Expect to bring corporate or commercial banking experience with P&L management of a complex business, deep credit risk and deal structuring expertise, a university degree and Senior Credit Officer status or candidacy, with an MBA, CA, CFA or CPA preferred.
