Job description
The Citigold Acquisition Specialist role at Citi focuses on expanding the high net worth client base by onboarding new-to-bank Citigold and Citigold Private clients and upgrading existing Citiblue relationships through increased funding and deeper engagement. Based in Dubai, the role works closely with the Acquisition Head, branch banking teams, telesales, product teams, and telemarketing to identify, solicit, and convert qualified prospects into funded Citigold accounts. The position involves assisting clients with account opening in the UAE or offshore locations such as Singapore, promoting referrals, engaging high payroll companies, optimizing funded opportunities, completing KYC requirements, and ensuring compliance with Citi’s risk and control standards. The role also supports investment and insurance needs through referrals, participates in micro-marketing events, stays informed on economic and capital market trends, and delivers against defined scorecard metrics for acquisition effectiveness, client penetration, and relationship depth.

Key responsibilities
- Onboard new-to-bank Citigold and Citigold Private clients to meet monthly acquisition targets
- Identify and upgrade existing Citiblue clients to Citigold through increased funding
- Work jointly with the Acquisition Head and Branch Banking teams to acquire new Citigold customers
- Source and solicit new Citigold prospects through internal and external channels
- Assist clients with opening Citigold accounts in the UAE or offshore locations such as Singapore
- Promote and generate referrals from existing clients to build a pipeline of prospects
- Convert leads from telesales and other channels into funded Citigold accounts
- Engage high payroll clients and listed payroll companies to drive Citigold conversions
- Complete and update Know Your Client (KYC) documentation for originated accounts
- Attract investment-focused clients through proactive relationship management and referrals
- Organize and lead micro-marketing events focused on new-to-bank acquisition
- Collaborate with product teams and telemarketing to support acquisition initiatives
- Refer Citigold clients to investment professionals for investment and insurance needs
- Stay informed on economic conditions and capital markets to enhance acquisition discussions
- Deliver against scorecard metrics for NTB acquisition, client penetration, and profiling
- Ensure full compliance with Citi’s risk, compliance, and control standards
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 3–5 years of experience in direct sales within the financial services industry
- Show experience acquiring high net worth clients in Priority Banking or SME Banking, or selling investment products such as mutual funds, insurance, equities, or fixed-income instruments
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of retail banking structures, strategies, and product suites
- Exhibit basic knowledge of Citi risk, KYC, and compliance policies
- Show understanding of basic credit principles and Early Warning Detection
- Demonstrate ability to learn commercial banking products and services quickly
- Exhibit experience engaging clients through relationship-based and proactive sales approaches
- Demonstrate comfort with digital banking technologies and client experience tools
