AVEVA E3D, PDMS, Marine and Hull Design are the platforms behind every shipbuilding and offshore design at this Eastern Province employer, and this position keeps them configured, customised and running well. Databases, users, teams, MDBs, access controls, catalogues and specifications are administered here. Automation tools and macros are built in PML, C#, VB or C++ to speed up design work. CAD systems also need to talk to ERP and plant systems, so integration support is part of the job. 3D modelling projects, data exchange, MTOs, clash reports and BOM generation are managed through the applications you look after. Users rely on you for training, troubleshooting and day-to-day support, and licensing and system performance are optimised along the way. Engineering, production and IT teams work with you to improve design workflows. The ideal background blends AVEVA administration and customisation with a real understanding of hull, piping, structural and equipment modelling in shipbuilding. At least 10 years as a system administrator or CADD applications specialist in an engineering company is required, and the role is permanent and fully on-site.
