Job description
Meetings, catering and events form a whole revenue segment at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi, and this Events Manager is responsible for its success. Business comes in through meetings and catering enquiries and off-site event sales, all handled according to standard procedures. Clients get a one-stop shop for detailed event planning, with banquet operations, F&B management, rooms division, finance and external suppliers coordinated behind the scenes. Strategic yield management and upselling of hotel facilities help grow revenue while still meeting client needs. Monthly sales targets are shared with the area MICE sales team. Site inspections, client entertainment and familiarisation visits bring prospects closer to booking. Proposals, confirmations, agreement letters and amendments all go out from you. A hospitality degree, previous catering sales experience in a hotel, excellent English and strong negotiation skills are expected, and Opera experience is an advantage.
