Job description
The Senior Engineer - Planning (Planning Engineer) within the MEP Division/Department at Coastal Contracting Company (a subsidiary of Red Sea Global) is responsible for managing planning work on Coastal Contracting Company projects to ensure it is undertaken in compliance with Coastal Contracting Company Planning procedure requirements, delivered within required timeframes, and to the expected quality standards. The role operates in a purpose-driven construction/contracting environment contributing to Saudi Arabiaâs Vision 2030 and regenerative tourism, with a commitment to quality craftsmanship, excellence, project management innovation, and maintaining commitments to people and the planet. Core responsibilities include developing project baseline schedules complete with resource and cost loading, tracking project progress and updating schedules, ensuring project documentation is complete and up to date, preparing Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports and presentations for project stakeholders, conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans, collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met, analyzing project data and providing recommendations for improvements, preparing and submitting variance analysis and delay notification submissions, participating in project meetings and providing project status updates, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Employees must adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards aligned with the Integrated Management System (IMS) to maintain a controlled, reliable, and ethical work environment and uphold operational excellence. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) compliance is mandatory, requiring prioritization of health, safety, environmental protection, and quality in all work, and adherence to HSEQ regulations, best practices, and policies to safeguard employees, stakeholders, and the community while maintaining high standards of service and project delivery. Continuous improvement is required through participation in initiatives to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and support innovation and efficiency. Working relationships include internal engagement with C3 Group as applicable, and external coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, operators/end users, and auditors as applicable. Requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or other construction/development-related degree, a preferable project management certification/diploma/masters, and minimum 8 yearsâ experience in a large-scale mixed-use development project (desirable). Skills include proficiency using the latest version of Primavera planning software and proficiency using Microsoft Excel for report generation, alongside construction and materials knowledge and compliance management.

Key responsibilities
- Manage planning work on Coastal Contracting Company projects in compliance with Coastal Contracting Company planning procedure requirements within required timeframes and expected quality standards
- Develop project baseline schedules complete with resource and cost loading
- Track project progress and update project schedules accordingly to reflect execution status
- Maintain complete and up-to-date project documentation and ensure documentation control discipline
- Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports and presentations for project stakeholders using project schedule and performance information
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address schedule and delivery risks
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and planning outputs support delivery
- Analyze project data and provide recommendations for improvements to planning, reporting, and project performance
- Prepare and submit variance analysis and delay notification submissions aligned with project progress and contract requirements
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status, progress tracking, and schedule impacts
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and align planning outputs to project governance requirements
- Adhere to the Integrated Management System (IMS) and comply with company policies, procedures, and standards
- Apply HSEQ policies, regulations, and best practices by prioritizing health, safety, environmental protection, and quality in planning and reporting activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve planning efficiency
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or another construction/development related degree
- Hold a Project Management certification/diploma/masters as a preferable qualification
- Have a minimum of 8 yearsâ experience in a large-scale mixed-used development project as a desirable experience requirement
- Be proficient using the latest version of Primavera planning software to develop and update project baseline schedules with resource and cost loading
- Be proficient using Microsoft Excel to generate planning reports and stakeholder reporting outputs
- Be able to prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports and presentations and deliver project updates to stakeholders
- Be able to conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and complete variance analysis and delay notification submissions
- Be able to ensure project documentation completeness and maintain compliance with regulations and standards
- Be able to operate within the Integrated Management System (IMS) and comply with company policies, procedures, standards, and HSEQ requirements
