Job description
The Quality Control Technical Service Contractor at Pfizer's PGS Plant in KAEC, Saudi Arabia is responsible for contributing to the timely delivery of safe, effective pharmaceutical products by conducting laboratory tests and ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and EHS standards. The role involves performing, documenting, and troubleshooting qualitative and quantitative assays using advanced lab techniques, reviewing technical data, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments, and mentoring junior analysts. This on-premise position demands high attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and participation in maintaining data integrity systems, equipment servicing, and QC documentation. The position is critical for maintaining Pfizerās quality culture and delivering on their patient-first commitment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Perform qualitative and quantitative assays using standard and advanced laboratory techniques.
- Document and troubleshoot assay results, ensuring reagents and standards are valid and stored correctly.
- Conduct testing on semi-finished and finished goods and validation samples per approved procedures.
- Record and communicate technical data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Train and support less experienced analysts as a mentor.
- Participate in equipment service, repair, and calibration programs development.
- Address technical issues, instrument malfunctions, and coordinate with vendors.
- Develop and follow SOPs for instrument operation, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Monitor, download, and review data logger outputs.
- Ensure strict adherence to GLP, GMP, and EHS guidelines.
- Participate in RFT (Right First Time) projects.
- Maintain GMP-compliant documentation and data integrity.
- Implement DI system plans, including audit trails and backup procedures.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related fields.
- Work experience in a Quality Control laboratory.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment, testing, and techniques.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic math and computer skills, including data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with LIMS is preferred.
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
