Job description
The IP Hub Manager at Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) will oversee the implementation and coordination of initiatives designed to strengthen Dubaiās intellectual property (IP) ecosystem, ensuring operational excellence across awareness, registration, commercialization, and enforcement. The role is integral to driving Dubaiās vision of becoming a global hub for innovation and knowledge-based growth. Reporting within DFFās strategic innovation ecosystem, the position focuses on leading the execution of an integrated IP management framework encompassing filing, registration, enforcement, valuation, and commercialization. The IP Hub Manager will coordinate with local and global stakeholdersāincluding innovators, research institutions, legal advisors, and investorsāto ensure user-centered IP services and policy alignment. Responsibilities include supporting the development of digital tools to enhance IP accessibility and streamline user experience, promoting IP awareness and training, and enabling licensing and collaboration mechanisms for innovation utilization. The role also involves monitoring IP operations and program performance to identify trends and deliver actionable recommendations. The incumbent will manage project plans, governance, and reporting processes to ensure effective implementation and measurable impact. By embedding rigorous IP management practices, this position enables sound decision-making, commercialization of intellectual assets, and strategic advancement of Dubaiās intellectual property landscape under the Dubai Future Foundationās mandate.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of an integrated IP management framework that supports filing, registration, enforcement, valuation, and commercialization processes.
- Coordinate with public and private stakeholders to deliver efficient and user-centered IP services aligned with ecosystem priorities.
- Support the development and rollout of digital tools that enhance access to IP information and improve user experience.
- Design and deliver programs that encourage innovators and researchers to protect and commercialize intellectual assets.
- Facilitate licensing and collaboration mechanisms between innovators, research institutions, legal advisors, and investors to promote IP utilization.
- Organize training, outreach, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to build IP awareness and capability within Dubaiās innovation ecosystem.
- Monitor IP operations and program performance, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage project plans, reporting structures, and governance processes to ensure timely and effective delivery of IP-related initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, preferably in research, innovation, or ecosystem development.
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Business Administration, Law, Policy, International Relations, IP Management, or a related field.
- Good understanding of intellectual property concepts including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related IP principles.
- Familiarity with IP processes such as registration, protection, and commercialization, as well as frameworks like WIPO and the UAE IP regime.
- Proven ability to manage projects or coordinate across multiple stakeholders in complex ecosystems.
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to evaluate IP operations and performance metrics to support data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
