Job description
The Assistant Manager β Islamic Product Structuring & Sales at Emirates NBD is responsible for leading and executing the structuring, development, and sales of Shariah-compliant banking products across Wholesale and Retail Banking segments. The role ensures alignment with Shariah principles, market needs, and strategic business objectives, while also enhancing client offerings and supporting business growth. The position combines technical product expertise with commercial acumen and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities
- Strategically develop and manage client and product propositions to meet market demands and business objectives.
- Lead the structuring of Islamic products, providing technical expertise and support to relationship managers and business units.
- Provide support for Sukuk, syndications, and structured financing transactions, optimizing the Islamic window teamβs contribution.
- Manage client inquiries regarding Islamic products, ensuring timely and accurate guidance and response.
- Develop comprehensive product programs, processes, and controls to balance risk and reward while ensuring Shariah compliance.
- Oversee asset and liability portfolios, conduct market research, monitor competition, and identify growth opportunities through segmentation and campaigns.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, IT, Retail, and GOPS teams for product launch and maintenance.
- Streamline and enhance existing products, implement automation where possible, and maintain thorough documentation for policies, procedures, and parameters.
- Ensure the highest standards of Shariah compliance by working closely with ISSC and ISCD for product development and enhancement.
- Participate in projects with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact results and maintain strong client relationships.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 7 years of banking experience, with at least 4 years in Islamic banking or related product structuring.
- Masterβs degree in Finance, Islamic Finance, Economics, or related banking field.
- Sound knowledge of UAE banking industry, consumer and wholesale banking products, and Islamic finance principles.
- Proven expertise in Islamic product structuring and development, with ability to launch new products and enhance existing offerings.
- Strong financial analysis, accounting, risk management, and portfolio management skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in market research, competitor analysis, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with client-focused mindset.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with multiple business units.
