Amazon Payment Services (APS) seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to support the Amazon Payment Experience and Cost of Payment initiatives across the MENA, South Africa, and Turkey regions. This role involves financial planning and analysis, business partnering, compliance, strategic recommendations, and automation to enhance payment efficiency and customer experience. The position requires strong financial expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work with large datasets to deliver actionable insights and drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage financial models to support short- and long-term financial planning for Amazon Payment Experience and Cost of Payment initiatives
- Prepare variance analysis, financial metrics, and reporting to provide insights into business performance
- Partner with business stakeholders, including APS commercial team, to align financial and operational analyses
- Enhance finance controllership through development and maintenance of models, reports, and processes
- Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations
- Conduct strategic analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
- Provide recommendations to enhance payment experience and financial performance
- Lead individual projects from start to finish, managing timelines and priorities
- Identify and drive automation and process improvement initiatives
- Manage month-end close processes and provide commentary on financial performance drivers
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and insights to senior management
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4+ years of applying financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve finance or business tools and processes
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, business, or quantitative role with 5+ years’ experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Advanced SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience as a Lean Sensei or Quality Assurance Engineer
- Preferred: MBA or CPA
- Preferred: knowledge of Tableau
- Preferred: experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
