Job description
GEMS Founders School Masdar City is seeking a dedicated Social Studies / Humanities Secondary Teacher to join their vibrant team in August 2025. Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Social Studies / Humanities lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
- Model core values of Grow, Flourish & Achieve in all school activities.
- Inspire students through innovative, differentiated instruction and classroom management.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote cross-curricular learning and holistic student development.
- Prepare and assess student work to provide accurate feedback and progress reports.
- Engage actively in school events, parent communication, and extra-curricular programmes.
- Contribute to the development of departmental planning, curriculum enrichment, and resource development.
- Utilize available CPD opportunities, including NQT and QTS programmes via TES Institute.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, safeguarding, and wellbeing in and outside of the classroom.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Experience teaching the British curriculum preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding learning and teaching.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Creative and enthusiastic attitude toward teaching and school culture.
- Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities and school community events.
- Eligibility for UAE employment and clearance of UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
