Job description
The Event Supervisor at Amaala Yacht Club is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-profile luxury events and activations that enhance member engagement and reinforce the clubâs premium positioning. This role oversees the end-to-end event lifecycleâfrom concept development and budgeting to execution and post-event analysisâensuring flawless delivery aligned with the clubâs brand identity, sustainability ethos, and service excellence standards. The position requires strong operational oversight, aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to collaborate with internal departments, marina operations, and external vendors to deliver world-class experiences in a prestigious yachting environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage the full lifecycle of events including member-exclusive gatherings, regattas, VIP receptions, brand activations, and lifestyle experiences.
- Develop and curate a seasonal calendar of luxury events designed to strengthen member loyalty and elevate the clubâs global prestige.
- Prepare detailed event briefs, production schedules, run-of-show documents, budgets, and contingency plans.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Marketing, PR, Marina Operations, Membership, and F&B to ensure seamless event execution.
- Liaise with third-party vendors, entertainers, decorators, production companies, and security providers to ensure premium service delivery.
- Ensure all events reflect the clubâs luxury positioning, brand tone, and commitment to regenerative tourism and sustainability.
- Oversee guest list management, RSVP tracking systems, and VIP hosting protocols in collaboration with Member Relations teams.
- Monitor event budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
- Implement safety, risk management, and operational compliance measures in line with internal and regulatory standards.
- Track event KPIs including attendance, engagement levels, member satisfaction, and brand impact; prepare post-event evaluation reports.
- Support the BOH Operations Manager in coordinating regattas and sailing-related events in partnership with marina and yacht racing teams.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the guest journey, aesthetic experience, and operational efficiency of club events.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 4â6 years of professional experience in event planning, luxury hospitality, yacht clubs, or high-end experiential activations.
- Demonstrated experience managing premium, high-touch events with VIP guests and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation capabilities.
- High level of attention to detail with strong aesthetic judgment and understanding of luxury brand standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English required; Arabic preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules as required.
