Job description
The Digital Release Governance Manager (UAE National Only) is responsible for establishing, evolving, and maintaining the Release Management framework that governs all production releases within Mashreq’s RBG Digital domain. This role ensures that digital products, features, and updates are released in alignment with the bank’s governance, compliance, and technology standards. The incumbent will work closely with Agile Coaches, Architecture teams, Business Governance, Risk, and Compliance to design, implement, and enforce proactive governance measures for digital deployments. This position requires strong leadership, governance expertise, and the ability to balance agility with control, ensuring operational and regulatory adherence across the digital release lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a robust Release Management framework ensuring controls and governance for all digital releases.
- Establish clear policies, processes, and tools that promote proactive adherence to the release management framework.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (CRB, Business Governance, Risk, Compliance, CXCG) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure all deployments and supporting evidence are properly documented and aligned with Mashreq’s governance and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage and resolve conflicts between competing priorities to maintain process integrity and operational efficiency.
- Lead tool implementation and training across RBG Digital to ensure consistent understanding and application of release governance standards.
- Monitor release activities and identify deviations, ensuring exceptional approvals and mitigation plans are properly documented.
- Generate and share periodic reports on release performance, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Coach and develop team members to ensure consistent application of governance processes and controls.
- Promote a culture of compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement across digital delivery teams.
Experience & skills
- UAE National (mandatory requirement).
- Postgraduate degree in Business, IT, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of diversified experience across banking operations, digital transformation, or governance functions.
- Strong focus on governance, compliance, and risk control frameworks.
- Solid understanding of digital technologies, IT systems, and core banking applications.
- Proven experience in implementing change management and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments.
- Analytical thinker capable of creating clarity and structure in complex environments.
- Experience managing small teams and leading governance initiatives in dynamic digital or agile settings.
