Job description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Specialist supports the financial health and operational efficiency of the aviation company by managing financial planning, budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting. The role ensures financial accuracy, compliance with aviation standards, and contributes to strategic decision-making and cost control. Key tasks include preparing financial reports, processing invoices, tracking aviation-specific costs, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, coordinating with procurement and operations, supporting audits, and enhancing financial processes and controls.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process invoices and expense claims.
- Track and analyze aviation-specific costs such as fuel, maintenance, aircraft leasing, crew expenses, and insurance.
- Maintain account ledgers and assist in monthly closing.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile key accounts.
- Coordinate with procurement and operations departments to control and report on expenditures.
- Perform vendor and bank reconciliations.
- Support external audits and liaise with regulatory authorities and banks as required.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes and internal controls.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Mandatory).
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA (Preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Prior experience as Accounts Payable Accountant and general ledger accounting.
- Strong knowledge in SAP ERP (Mandatory).
- Knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance standards.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
