Job description
Dubai Holding Real Estate (DHRE) is seeking an Associate Director for Financial Planning & Analysis to support and advise on financial strategies that align with the companyâs objectives. This role involves leading financial planning processes, budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow forecasting, and performance monitoring. It includes close coordination with subsidiaries and departments to consolidate and review financial data, design and implement robust financial systems, support strategic initiatives, and provide actionable insights to the senior leadership team. The position also contributes to ongoing projects and system enhancements while upholding strong governance and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in the process of monthly MIS reporting to DH Finance, DHRE and DHLE management ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Implement financial models to improve budgeting, planning, and reporting accuracy
- Prepare budget plans and schedules aligned with DH policies and procedures
- Assist in reviewing overall budget consolidation and coordinate execution with subsidiaries
- Oversee variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet line items
- Review and prepare quarterly financial reviews with market-aligned adjustments
- Prepare financial forecasts to support department budget allocations
- Establish short-term guidelines and compare them to forecasted budgets to address discrepancies
- Prepare and assist with budgetary presentations for all management levels
- Guide unit heads and line managers to control costs and stay on budget
- Provide KPI information to Strategy team for scorecard reporting
- Ensure budget preparation is completed in EPBCS system
- Coordinate with CEO/CFO and Business Development to prepare escrow-level cash flows
- Monitor project-level cash flows and suggest cost optimization
- Assist in reviewing EMC and Quarterly Project Review Reports and ad hoc analysis
- Design and implement financial policies and procedures related to management reporting
- Maintain control over Hyperion Budgeting software and financial systems
- Develop and implement budgetary, MIS and statutory reporting processes
- Prepare monthly dashboards showing cost and sales performance
- Review management reports and troubleshoot financial analysis issues
- Contribute to projects and corporate-level initiatives
- Develop and enforce internal controls, policies and procedures aligned with regulations and IFRS
- Implement automation initiatives and innovative technology for financial control
- Lead and manage department objectives, mentor and develop the finance team
- Provide strategic direction and motivation to team for high performance
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in finance or accounts; masterâs degree preferred
- Professional Accounting Qualification (Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CPA, etc.)
- Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices
- 8â10 years of finance experience with a focus on FP&A
- Experience in real estate, construction, or large-scale project management
- Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion
- Skilled in Excel, Power BI or other business intelligence tools
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and cost control skills
- Experience in financial analysis and modelling
- Ability to develop strategic financial plans and forecasts
- Effective in cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in internal controls, automation, and ERP implementation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
