Job description
ADIB runs a large portfolio of concurrent technology programmes and projects, and this Unit Head in Abu Dhabi leads the function that delivers them. Reporting to the Head of Technology Transformation & Portfolio Management, you oversee program managers, project managers, associates and PM Partner resources. Delivery is held to approved scope, schedule, budget, quality and PM Governance stage gates, with integrated plans, baselines and forecasts kept current. Where risks or delays emerge, recovery actions and sequencing decisions often need making quickly, sometimes with stakeholders outside your direct authority. Vendor and strategic partner performance is managed against contractual commitments, working alongside Procurement, Finance and Legal. SDLC adherence covers architecture alignment, cybersecurity readiness, testing, release planning, cutover, hypercare and operational acceptance. Benefits are tracked from business case through post-implementation validation, and change readiness is overseen where new ways of working are needed. Workforce and FTE planning balances permanent staff, UAE National talent, contractors and partners, and individual development plans support UAE Nationals and succession for critical roles. Portfolio KPIs such as milestone predictability, budget variance, dependency ageing and closure quality are reported transparently to Technology Leadership.
