Job description
As a Finance Manager at Masdar, based at the SPPC5 Sadawi PV project in Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible for driving financial oversight and performance aligned with strategic and operational goals. This high-impact leadership role will involve directing financial planning, enforcing internal controls, guiding investment appraisals, monitoring budgets, and providing strategic financial insight to optimize shareholder value. You will work closely with senior management and be accountable for compliance, reporting, and risk management in accordance with IFRS standards, while supporting Masdarās mission of advancing renewable energy.

Key responsibilities
- Initiate and direct the formulation and implementation of financial policies and accounting procedures.
- Ensure financial and accounting control, maintaining integrity of GL, payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain accurate Oracle financial data.
- Develop and obtain approval for corporate finance procedures and ensure proper implementation.
- Monitor the annual budgeting process and review management reports on tax, insurance, compliance, and internal controls.
- Conduct financial performance reviews and investigate deviations from budget.
- Assist in the approval and analysis of O&M budgets and identify key drivers.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring engagement and change readiness.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field; Masterās degree preferred.
- Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
- At least 10 years of solid experience in project finance and financial analysis.
- Proven experience in investment appraisals, feasibility studies, and due diligence.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with VAT regulations and local compliance requirements.
- Excellent English and Arabic communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Energy sector experience is highly desirable.
